Cardona Castle

The impregnable fortress

Construction of the imposing Cardona Castle started two thousand five hundred years ago. During the Middle Ages it was the residence of the Lords of Cardona.

Centuries and centuries of history lie behind this unbreachable fortress, which is also site of the remarkable Collegiate Church of Sant Vicenç, a jewel of Catalan Lombard Romanesque architecture. Relive sieges and battles and discover why the Lords of Cardona were known as the Kings without a Crown.

The guidance and interpretation of the monumental complex of the Castle of Cardona can be done through two different visit options: a general guided tour and a theatrical visit (for families and children).
