The Cardona fortress is the backdrop of this masterpiece, and the visit &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/cardonaturisme.cat\/ca\/2024\/07\/cardona-ofereix-una-nova-visita-al-castell-sobre-orson-welles-i-el-rodatge-de-campanades-a-mitjanit\/\">Orson Welles and the Castle of Cardona<\/a>&#8221; offers you the opportunity to visit the most emblematic filming locations, such as the ducal courtyard, the cloister and the collegiate church of Sant Vicen\u00e7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Cardona Historical Foundation plays a fundamental role in fostering Welles&#8217; legacy in the municipality. The natural beauty of the coast, with its crystal-clear waters and cliffs, brought a special tone to the story, making the location a character within the plot. This coastal town became an iconic backdrop. The director of the film, Albert Lewin, captured the essence of Mediterranean beauty. The film captured the beauty of the beaches&nbsp; of the town of Girona and its medieval charm.
